Venue and Seating Information

First Avenue is a well-known downtown Minneapolis concert venue. Its Mainroom holds approximately 1,600 guests and is primarily a general-admission, standing-room space, rather than a venue with standard reserved seating.

The open floor gives concertgoers flexibility to choose their position, while limited balcony seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Arriving early can help guests find a preferred viewing spot. Balcony tables are reserved for First Avenue Members.

Parking Information

First Avenue does not operate an official parking lot, so plan ahead, particularly for a busy downtown event night. Nearby options listed for the venue include:

• Surface lot behind the venue near 1st Avenue and 8th Street, the closest listed option.
• Mayo Building underground ramp across the street on 7th Street.
• A, B, and C Ramps a few blocks away, with accessible elevators to street level.
• Metered street parking in the surrounding area.

Parking availability and rates can change, so confirm details before arrival. Rideshare drop-off and pickup is available along 1st Avenue North in front of the venue at 701 N 1st Avenue.
